ginger my mates daughter is a ginger and she is constantly getting grief at school and we were talking about what to do. and I just wondered how the gingers on here coped with it and what he should tell his daughter to do ? and what he should do?
i am a carrot, and it doesnt really bother me in the slightest, however i know ginge kids who get proper pissed off at the very mention of their colourings. as far as picked on at school goes, i was hardly, sheer extent of the freaks that went to my school no1 really giv a shot bout my hair tell the wee carrot head to belt up and get on with it (and make sure she wears plenty suncream on holiday!!!)
I dunno I never got loads of grief as a kid about it, mine isn't proper bright ginger though, its character building in the long run, made me not take myself too seriously, if you make fun of it first then that gets it out there and gives you the power over the situation (kinda hard to explain that to a youngun though) Maybe try telling about some famous gingers: Gillian Anderson Nicole Kidman Kate Winslet Julia Roberts Si Quick failing that she could just tell them to fuck right off and stab them, us gingers are known for our firey temperament
she's quite shy and not the sort to stick one on anyone and she blushes as red as her hair. I feel really sorry for her and couldn't think of anything to suggest, so thanks for the suggestions you african sunsets
