    getting round windows admin account

Right...is there any way to get round the windows admin account? Cos my mate has a laptop, but its set to a limited account cos his dad didnt want any shit on it, but its stopping him installing anything..which aswell as pain in the arse is a big security risk, cos no security update patches can be installed etc.

Im thinking there must be some way of getting around it....

    no idea how though!

    any1 know?

    download that bootdisk image

    then goto www.winimage.com

download winimage - this lets u write the image to disk...

boot with this disk and its self explanitory basically...

Its ok, there was a much simpler way that works...

Boot in safe mode, click admin account...and it logs in lol.

    ooh it works!! how class!!

Just for local accounts like, its not for domain logons.

Still, works very well for what i need it for.

there is another one i came accross that can be used for a domain environment, looks a bit tricky like.

Emergency Boot CD i think its called, its 18 meg, has tonnes of useful tools in it.

    Check it out HERE

its fuking piss easy to brute force most domain admin accounts, im a sysadmin by trade and I often experience weak passwords on my network ( stretching to admin // admin when i came here ). Just search for some decent hybrid attacking brute forcer tools on google or whatever and u will get 90 pc of passwords within 10 secs.

brute force tools..surely they are useless these days?

if admin has any clue they will limit amount of retries for password attempts...

it is easy, there are lots of diff ways to do it...yes..

but...use at ur own risk kinda thing...if ppl dont know exactly wot they r doing..leave it alone cos they will get caught ;) :p
