Getting out of our broadband contract early...

As I understand it, if you rape your 'unlimited' connection enough, your ISP will generally write to you to say stop it, and offer to let you change....

Is this likely? I reckon if we can max a 2 megabit connection for a month or 2 they will let us out...on the other hand, I don't want to end up in court.

    ISP is Freedom2Surf, advice appreciated.

F2S is one of the ISP's thet is genuinely unlimited.

Therefore you would need to download/upload in the region of 350Gig for them to consider you a problem.

Im not sure it is possible to up/download this amount in a month.

Can you not just downgrade to one of their limited packages?

Nah, we're leaving the house, and we'll end up paying a month or 2 more on our years contract.

Being properly unlimited is one of the reasons we went with them, but we can always see ;)

I've read about people being let off early though - it's in their interests if you ruin their network by hogging all the data :cool2:

It's worth a try, maybe I'll start downloading **shudder** lost

    it wont happen.

you will have to receive warnings first and then they need to monitor your usage over a few months to see if things have improved.

    it isn't a quick process.

I was thinking that. You could say your unhappy with the speeds and price of your package and try to get out that way?
