Getting out of our broadband contract early... As I understand it, if you rape your 'unlimited' connection enough, your ISP will generally write to you to say stop it, and offer to let you change.... Is this likely? I reckon if we can max a 2 megabit connection for a month or 2 they will let us out...on the other hand, I don't want to end up in court. ISP is Freedom2Surf, advice appreciated.
F2S is one of the ISP's thet is genuinely unlimited. Therefore you would need to download/upload in the region of 350Gig for them to consider you a problem. Im not sure it is possible to up/download this amount in a month. Can you not just downgrade to one of their limited packages?
Nah, we're leaving the house, and we'll end up paying a month or 2 more on our years contract. Being properly unlimited is one of the reasons we went with them, but we can always see
I've read about people being let off early though - it's in their interests if you ruin their network by hogging all the data It's worth a try, maybe I'll start downloading **shudder** lost
it wont happen. you will have to receive warnings first and then they need to monitor your usage over a few months to see if things have improved. it isn't a quick process.
I was thinking that. You could say your unhappy with the speeds and price of your package and try to get out that way?
are you not allowed to cut it short due to moving out? telewest let me cancel a couple of years back due to moving out.
