This is the best I could do... the five posts that were posted... Went to the semi final today. In the Geordie end and I thought their fans were magnificent.Supported their well beaten team from first whistle to last.The Manc fans were second rate by comparison. A pleasure to be with. hatoff.gif glad you enjoyed it Gwil i bet it was a great atmosphere.. What really pissed me off is the number of people walking around here in Man Utd shirts, and yet only 30k turned up for the game! Thought the opposite actually - in town and I was amazed at how few Man Utd fans there were in and around the city centre. The geordies love it. Proper good fans, brilliant on match day up here, a sea of black and white!
i think newcastles away fans are brilliant, but the last few times ive been to a home match even when we were winning it was like sitting in a morgue.
Maybe because the fans that travel are the more hardocre fans, wathcing week in week out. Obviously not everyone who would like to do this can, but the travellers make sacrifices to support their team. True you don't get any medals for having the best fans, but still nice to know isn't it!
it was a general statement aimed at all the toon fans who harp on about how good their fans are. the game is about putting the ball in the net, not about who can shout the loudest.
