Gatecrasher Classics @ Discothèque, Leeds, 30.4.06 GATECRASHER CLASSICS @ DISCOTHÈQUE, LEEDS, 30.4.06 After an awesome sold out New Years Day Classics Event at the club, the Gatecrasher Classics Album Tour is thrown back in the direction of Leeds, at Discothèque on Bank Holiday Sunday. This is the only classics event in the north in April so don’t miss out. John OO Fleming, JFK, Talla 2XLC, Rank 1, Riley & Durrant and Stevie G are at the helm, with a much anticipated live PA from Grace (performing ‘Its Not Over Yet’) to contribute to what promises to be THE place to party in Leeds on Bank Holiday Sunday. With all that’s going on in the main room, it’ll be hard to pull yourself away – but when you consider that 4Clubbers.net are also taking the Cocktail Lounge and that Filthy Rich, Tin Tin, Marc Leaf, Luke Pompey and The Scott Stifler Experience are to rock the Funky Lounge, you realise you’re spoilt for choice. However, when you consider his 20 year existence in the dance music scene, you can bet that his performance at this event will be nothing short of absolute sublime classic after classic! Gatecrasher resident JFK is one of the hardest working and prolific trance DJ’s to date. Having juggled an extensive gig diary that has seen him travel around the globe, production for the likes of Y2K and Mondo and running Midlands mecca ‘Passion’, more recent times have seen Jason celebrate the first birthday of his own ‘Live and Loud’ night, as well as playing a prominent role in Gatecrasher’s recent success. Some argue that his classics sets are the pick of the bunch – we’ll leave you to decide. A feature all over Europe, Talla 2XLC will be welcomed with opened arms back for ‘Gatecrasher Classics’. Founder of the ‘Technoclub’ in Germany, he is also renown for stunning sets at the likes of Space in Ibiza and the Shadow Lounge in Miami. Since 1996, he has released tracks such as ‘Eternal Mystery’, ‘Loves Coming Down’, ‘Is Anybody Out There?’, ‘815 To Nowhere’ and ‘World In My Eyes’ – he is renown worldwide for stunning production and flair. The Netherlands, Switzerland, the USA and Sweden are all port of call for Rank 1 (Piet Bervoets and Benno de Goeij before their appearance with us, after which they’ll travel as far a field as Mexico and Russia. Most trance diehards will cite ‘Airwave’ as their favourite anthem, but ‘Such Is Life’ (the Sensation 2001 anthem) and tracks such as ‘Awakening’ are held in equal regard. They have also mixed albums for the likes of ID&T and remixed for System F, Cygnux X and Delirium. Riley & Durrant, better known as Andi Durrant and Nick Riley, are one of the scene’s most recent success stories. You just wonder if these guys get time to sleep with all they have going on. Running numerous Galaxy FM shows, an extensive and ever-growing gig diary, Gatecrasher residents, production and remixes for the likes of Black Hole (Holland), Yazuka (Holland) and a whole lot more! Stevie G could be considered to be the new kid on the block, but in reality he’s been Gatecrasher for quite some time now – and things are progressing very well! A regular on the Classics nights as well as Nu Crasher, Stevie has been busy himself with his own production as well as working with other well known parties such as Out Of The Blue. To say that Grace’s ‘Not Over Yet’ is something of a dance music anthem is a bit of an understatement. With strong, stalwart mixes from the likes of Perfecto, Dancing Diva’s, BT and Danny Tenaglia, the track was known worldwide. ‘If I Could Fly’, ‘Down To Earth’ are other great examples. Any promoters wanting to host a ‘Gatecrasher Classics’ party at their venue / night should contact Dean Webster on 0114 2526110 for further information.

A lot of people are either going to Gatecrasher first, or doing a few hours at SS, then coming onto Gatecrasher afterwards.
