i live with a villa fan who is devastated by this. completely about the money, i don't see why he would leave a club he is captain of, which is improving and playing european football next year, to go to one which isn't, and thus far has been all talk since their massive takeover.

Yeah there signing players now which will get them competing for uefa cup spots not champions league spots because they still cant attract the very best players so its going to be a long process

liverpool didnt bid you fucking mugs so how could he have "gone there" hes been at villa for 12 years starting on peanuts and working his way up. a footballers payday is the 20% of a transfer fee they get, hence a move ANYWHERE is required by players around the age of 30 that have been at one or two clubs for life. great move for city and barry, if i was a player theres one two other clubs id rather go too at this moment in time, big things could be going to happen at city
