    Fucking RIP OFF !!

    Setanta reveals prices

Lex Gold believes Setanta will provide a good product
Setanta Sport has disclosed the cost Scottish football fans will have to pay to watch Premier League football on television next season.
SPL live games have, for two seasons, been available on BBC One.

But, next season, fans will face a monthly subscription of £12.99, although there will be a season ticket available for a limited time of £99.

The prices were revealed as Setanta announced the formal signing of its four-year contract.

Setanta's exclusive deal is to broadcast 38 live SPL football games each season and the company has now also disclosed that there will be 10 minutes of highlights from all other top-flight games.

The company's joint chief executive, Michael O'Rourke, said: "It is satisfying to have completed the formalities with the SPL and we can now progress with our plans to provide high-quality coverage for the Scottish football fan.

This is a subscription channel, not pay-per-view, as has been widely reported

    Setanta director Roger Hall
"This is just the start of many announcements as we shape the Setanta Sport channel and our programme - 'SPL Live'.

"The beauty of SPL Live is that it will have Scottish football as its sole focus.

"Our aim is to broadcast the most in-depth coverage ever of Scotland's top-flight league.

"In addition to the live games, we will be the first broadcaster to show extended highlights from all the other SPL games, dedicating 10 minutes of highlights per game."

SPL chairman Lex Gold said: "Today represents an exciting new phase in SPL broadcasting.

"We believe Setanta has the plans in place to deliver a top-class product to football fans across the country.

"We look forward to working closely with them over the years to come."

Setanta's director of channel development and marketing, Roger Hall, stressed: "It's important that viewers understand that this is a subscription channel, not pay-per-view, as has been widely reported."

Season tickets will go on sale in June, with the SPL fixture list due to be announced on 21 June.

Setanta is promising that each weekly live game will form part of nearly seven hours of in-depth coverage, featuring news, views and extended highlights from all SPL games.

A re-run of the featured live game will be screened that evening to cater for fans attending the game.

Stick it up yer ARSES !!

Setanta have quite a few 'PPV' type stuff, including some WWE events, also rumours of some lesser known boxing PPVs.

If we were in the champs league I'd subscribe to Sky Sports. I only watch the toon games and anything that seems important.
