We're please to be joined for the night by 3 of the key figures of the UK techno scene over the last 15 years in the form of the Stay Up Forever Collective's Chris Liberator, D.A.V.E. The Drummer and DJ Rackitt. Over the last few years Chris & DAVE (Henry is his real name) have become firm favourites with the Freaky Dancing crowd following several storming sets, so we figured we'd get them both up and watch them blow the roof off for our birthday. Stay Up Forever Formed by the Liberator DJ's, Chris, Julian and Aaron, the Stay Up Forever Collective is arguably the most influential group of dj's, producers and labels in the UK's techno & hard dance scene, being almost singlehandedly responsible for developing and pushing the London Acid Techno sound in the mid-late nineties, before branching out to cover the range of minimal, electro, tech house, techno and of course the acid techno sound that made them famous. Stay Up Forever Collective owns and runs 19 labels, including the eponomous Stay Up Forever, Cluster, Hydraulix, Power Tools, and R.A.W. which between them have been responsible for close to a thousand releases! Chris Liberator Chris Liberator is 1/3 of the Liberator Sound System, co-founder of Stay Up Forever and owner of Cluster, Maximum Minimum, Yolk and Wah Wah labels, a producer of numerous underground techno classics & a DJ who's played with everyone from Spiral Tribe onwards while always retaining his underground punk ethos. D.A.V.E. The Drummer With over 200 releases to his name, Henry Cullen aka D.A.V.E. The Drummer is one of the most prolific techno producers in the world, as well as running Hydraulix & Apex, 2 of the most influential underground techno labels, and spending to years Djing across the planet. DJ Rackitt Having played with many of the biggest and most respected squat party / rave crews of the last 10 years including Bedlam, Virus, Manic, Malfaiteurs, and Underground Sound, DJ Rackitt personifies the tough underground London Techno sound, as well as being the force that holds Stay Up Forever Collective together. It's also her birthday so buy her a drink eh...
bump last times chris & Dave The Drummer played seperately have all been absolutely rammed and the clubs gone ballistic for them, so with both of them on together this should be an absolute belta of a night IMO

D.A.V.E. The Drummer - Live @ Renesanz (15.12.2006) Chris Liberator at Swarm - Eat Your Beats - Sydney , Australia (08.July.2006)
If I remember rightly pretty much everytime I've met you since the one big weekender you've been pulling bigger faces than me.
What a class night indeed. No warmup - Just straight into it with all 3 jocks doing a back 2 back 2 back thing then takin' turns a bit later on... Don't think i've quite enjoyed music as much as the early doors stuff in the main room in a long time.
When they were all back to back at the start the music was fucking mint. Dave The Drummer started good but went a little bit too fast for me, then DJ Rackitt toned it down which was good but didn't quite get it right. Then Liberator fucking nailed it at the end.
