Freaks & Geeks this was aired in 1999 but it might have only been in the US - I really don't know. I've seen the first 4 and it's some good light heated fun It's got 9.5/10 on imdb so i mustn't be the only one to enjoy it! http://imdb.com/title/tt0193676/
