    Foundation sound system

The sound system in the club has been often praised by DJ's, but is it now due for replacement? I stood in my usual place on Friday and, although I hadn't been in the club for 3 months, I thought the quality of sound was shocking. It crackled, wasn't clear at all...it was so bad I couldn't make out the words in the vocal tracks.

I'm no sound expert.. but couldn't they buy a few more speakers, not many, that would be made or used just to play treble? Wouldn't that level it out?

it's always sounded bass heavy, it's never been the clearest, just powerful as fuck. when picotto first played promise was the loudest I have ever heard it, my ears were ringing for days, I take ear plugs now.

It needs a full refit speaker wise I think, the kit in the DJ booth is ok apart from a dead spot in the cross fader.

PHAZON was part of the Twilo business. Best soundsystems in the world, Cream was the only club to have one till Twilo shut and Sankeys get that one. Really good stuff, dunno if Phazon are still going ? The foundation one is thunder-ridge, it's been blew to bits

Amnesia in Ibiza has a Phazon   am sure of it and its the puppies bits

I have never heard music so crisp and so loud - when the bass gets dropped then whacked back in there's people litteraly jumping with fright and shitting themselve

Best sound systems i have heard are Amnesia obviously, Promise when it was just replaced, GK @ Code and Crasher !

    :D :D

    Phazon.... hmmm bass!

Think I'd be in a worse state than normal if foundation got one of those :)

As for the sound system, the only thing I wouldn't touch would be the vestax pmc 55 mixer. It is pretty good (I've used one myself), but the reliability is shit. Breaks far too easily.

The one in Trades broke two years ago and they've still not properly fixed it (probably because they keep sending it to promotiontimedj :p)
