For those of you who have a video iPod... For the love of god, don't make the same mistake I did and upgrade the iPod Software to 1.1. Problems I've had since then: Random stopping in the middle of videos, then it resumes at random without sound, I can't get out of the "ratings" area when playing a track (by pressing the centre button) and the thing's been chewing on it's battery To top it all off I've had to flatten the thing this morning and reset it back to 1.0, and then copy 56GB worth of stuff back onto the damn thing  Don't do it kids!
my lass has had problems with her nano after updating it, have had to reset that also...i was after the 60GB video but working in dixons and seeing the amount that come back and need resetting, im going for the Creative Zen Vision:M, even though its only a 30GB, its sexy as fuck in the bright green and accepts more formats of vid's http://www.creative.com/products/mp3/zenvisionm/
Mine's had a lot less issues since i upgraded it- i was getting a lot of those problems before and i don;t now.
I wouldn't say thats true of all of them, I've had mine for nearly two months now and this is the first time I've had to flatten it and restore everything Wonder if anyone else has had similar problems...
Ive had problems with both versions so far - the 'ratings sticking' bug in particular. On the original firmware, i had problems where no videos would show up in the movies section, but it would show all my songs aswell and wouldnt play anything that was a video. Bit buggy yeah - but the ratings thing tends to dissapear if you leave it for a few minutes. Slapped wrists apple.
i've not upgraded yet as i'm lazy but maybe i shouldn't now!! where do you get your videos and films from as i've not got any yet, what can you use to convert them?
defo, it may cost 30 notes more than ipod, but it plays more video formats which is a big plus for me. if u can use any video format on ipod's aswell and i am yet to find this out, someone correct me please, even though i am still getting the Vision:M
A few of the reviews of the vision m that it's an excellent player but it's size and weight let it down. I don't know what the size and weight are but it might be worth looking into?

It's about twice the thickness of the 30gb ipod. The format support is good, the buttons light up (and that does look cool) but the rest of it is a bit suspect and the interface is a bit too ipod-ish for my liking.
