For those of you who have a video iPod...

For the love of god, don't make the same mistake I did and upgrade the iPod Software to 1.1.

Problems I've had since then: Random stopping in the middle of videos, then it resumes at random without sound, I can't get out of the "ratings" area when playing a track (by pressing the centre button) and the thing's been chewing on it's battery

To top it all off I've had to flatten the thing this morning and reset it back to 1.0, and then copy 56GB worth of stuff back onto the damn thing

    Don't do it kids!

I wouldn't say thats true of all of them, I've had mine for nearly two months now and this is the first time I've had to flatten it and restore everything :(

Wonder if anyone else has had similar problems...

Ive had problems with both versions so far - the 'ratings sticking' bug in particular.

On the original firmware, i had problems where no videos would show up in the movies section, but it would show all my songs aswell and wouldnt play anything that was a video.

Bit buggy yeah - but the ratings thing tends to dissapear if you leave it for a few minutes.

    Slapped wrists apple.

defo, it may cost 30 notes more than ipod, but it plays more video formats which is a big plus for me.

A few of the reviews of the vision m that it's an excellent player but it's size and weight let it down. I don't know what the size and weight are but it might be worth looking into?

It's about twice the thickness of the 30gb ipod.

The format support is good, the buttons light up (and that does look cool) but the rest of it is a bit suspect and the interface is a bit too ipod-ish for my liking.
