For those of you wanting some webspace/a website My mate stuart has just launched his own hosting company at www.equiphase.net. To celebrate, he's got an introductory "£1 a month" deal on his webhosting. For a quid a month you get: 800 Megabytes Storage 2 Gigabytes Bandwidth 10 MySQL Databases 500 POP3 Email Accounts Unlimited Forwarders 40 Sub-Domains Frontpage Extensions Fantastico cPanel version 10.8 Email, Forum, IRC, telephone support (Domains are not included but are available for a tenner a year for .com/.net, £5 for .co.uk) You don't need a domain to go with the hosting, you can access your space without one. There's no contract and if you're not happy with exchanging card details you can pay through paypal. You don't have to pay for the whole year upfront (I've only paid for the first three ) And there's no increases on price either. For those not in the know, there's enough webspace on this account to host 6 or 7 mixes at 192kbps, plenty of email accounts, plus SQL databases (which allow you to set up forums and content systems for a website, check mine for a good example, thats all SQL powered.) Worth a go for people who want mixhosting/a presence on the net...
