    technics are now making, until november 1000 special edition 1210 mk 5gs which are gold plated, they have them at hard to find records..
    as for the offer of 600, he wont go no lower than 700 for his other mk 5gs they are only about 8 months old, anyway 700 is a bargain i would have had them myself if i had the cash.

    actually i dont rate them either, ive just had half an hour mess about on them and they are nothing special,id rather stick with my mk2s.
    the platter seems to be pretty light to the touch unlike the mk2s and the pitch is really responsive, when they are pitched up to +16 it seems as if your messing with the pitch all the time to get it spot on ...
    as for the looks, well for the extra you pay in my opinion its nowt to brag about..
