    did you not realise that thinjgs go down in price over time, everything i've ever bought was loads cheaper the year after.:dunce: :dunce: :dunce:

    Of course I did... the point is that not only is it cheaper, but the new one plays video, has no moving parts, longer battery life, and is a lot smaller :dunce:

    They've changed the hard drive size... With that size I could have sworn it was solid state...

    Still, it's probs quite easy to shoehorn 60gb of memory onto it, I reckon thats the next step...

    Flash memories definitely the future, I won't buy another hard drive player - what I really want is a phone that takes SD cards, has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a decent battery - it's not here yet though!

    SD is a thing of the past now, there's a new microSD format which is due to replace it.

    The Samsung D600 uses the microSD format (and you can get an adapter fairly cheaply which allows you to use an SD card reader with it).
