Have been fucking shocking this season, seems to be more decisions being given blatantly incorrectly than there has been in previous years.

On a personal note what has brought this on was Chopra's clearly onside goal for us at Derby yesterday, and the thought that we would be sat comfortably in 11th position had that and Danny Collins goal at home to Villa been given, both of which clearly should have been.

Across the board though there seems to be something happens every weekend where someone has been robbed of something. As they are now professional referees they should be answerable for these decisions to the fans/media, in the same way that players/managers are.

    What a fucking joke

football should have what rugby and cricket has - video refs.

all of these people who reckon video decisions would "hurt the grassroots game" are talking out of their arse. I don't see it hurting local rugby or cricket, do you?

unless it's brought in the ref and his assistants will always have to make judgement calls based on what they saw, and as we all know, sometimes in the heat of the moment things get muddled or confused, and this kind of thing will always happen.

The critics say it'll spoil the run of play, will it fuck. The players harrass the referee to fuck for about 10 minutes after a dodgy decision is given anyway, it'd take 30 seconds max to see if a ball has crossed the line etc.

    All for video replays me.

I think video referees should be brought in for goal line decisions only personally.

yeah same here, it would get shit if every single dodgy offside or foul was governed by a video ref, they game would be dead slow... AND what if the vid ref ruled a payer to be onside? what would happen then, would the ref make every one stand as they were when he blew for offside then blow a whislte to resume play? its daft

but in the cases of ball over the line or not... and weather or not a foul was in or outside the box etc etc vids would be a good move!

I don't think the vid replay should replace the ref, otherwise it would give rise to the kind of situation you mention above.

The replay should be a tool at the disposal of the ref, just like the linesmen are, and that way if he isn't sure about a decision he can call upon the vid to be replayed so he can see it from a better angle
