.flac files?

    .flac files?

    Have downloaded an album and the tracks are all .flac files.

    What the hell are these? How can I read them, and is there any easy way of converting them if need be?

    Alternatively you can get codecs which allow them to be played in winamp etc. Not sure about itunes though.

    Most of the live bootlegged gigs I download are in FLAC format so I just use Winamp.
