Finishing tune? Quite an easy one. If you were doing a set, any genre, what would you finish on. Mine would be a bit of an obvious choice of It's Over For Me. Quite old, but I don't care.
I have a few Most recently... Praise Cats - Shined On Me (Fuckin hate this tune! For purvy @ Twisted Logic, 17th May) ODB - Got Your $ I know Clear doesn't exactly compare to Basics, but I've heard a lot of things about the roof coming off when Sneak dropped that last one! Anything that people can relate to and identify really
Toataly depends on where??? But i like to flip the script and play somthing totaly different at the end maybe: Beatles - Day Tripper New Order - Blue Monday Or if im playing somwhere with open minded people maybe some hip hop: Mc Pitman - Witness the pitness Neptunes - Lapdance
Definately the best in this thread. I like DJs that can play Beatles stuff and pull it off. Heard about Pete Gooding doing it in his sunset sets at Del Mar in Ibiza, have to see that this year!
I agree, heard a few Beatles tracks in clubs and done properly they sound class! Yousef played 'All You Need is Love' at midnight on NYE and I remember the Chemical Brothers playing 'Sgt. Peppers...' at Gatecrasher on the millenium NYE.
After hearing Danny Howells finish with it at the dig last night I think the ultimate finiching tune has to be David Guetta vs. David Bowie: Heros Genius After that? Probably 16B feat Morel : (Escape) Driving to Heaven
Heard about his tune a few weeks ago off someone who'd been to Miami and they said it was class. I love the original so I've been dieing to hear it. Gutted I had to miss Danny Howells last night, was he as good as always? Any other tunes you recognised? And was there many people there? Wouldn't be suprised if their weren't, as much as I'd rather of seen him he'd probably suffer a bit being between Sasha and Digweed.
I agree with Che and would probs play the Scot Project mix of second trip. used to drop Born Slippy at the end of mysets alot too
IMO he was better, technically anyway, than sasha. I've never heard digweed play so I can't say anything. There were no other tunes that i recognised unfortunatly. The crowd was a bit thin by shindig standards but it was still an awesome night. He played everything from funky house to some dirty techno. Whilst prog and tech house aren't really my thing I have to say that it was probably of the best nights I've had out yet !! 10/10
