Finally!!!!! I've got a job!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111

    Finally!!!!! I've got a job!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111

    Yep! After two and a half years of filling in form after form, of interview after interview, rejection after rejection, getting majorly depressed, questioning whether I was stupid to even consider a job in the communications industry given my circumstances.......I have finally got my foot on the first step of the ladder in the only career I have ever ever wanted.

    Sunderland City Council (well, you can't have it all your own way :p ) have offered me the job of Online Content Manager. Basically, that's a posh way of saying I'll be writing content for sunderland.gov.uk as well as help run the site etc etc.

    I knew I'd get somewhere eventually!

    So, bring on Basement Jaxx on Wednesday and Jon O'Bir on Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

    Oh, and listening to trance classics while on an emotional high isn't advisible. :cry:

    Well done fella - I know exactly how you feel, I've been filling in forms for the last 3 months after passing my masters and getting bot all back in response apart from being rejected for "being overqualified" :evil:

    I nearly did! I'd started looking for admin work and stuff just to get employment.

    i know a few people who work in PR writing for various web sites and magazines etc about stuff they're not at all interested in. It's all good experience though and a chance to flex your creative muscles. God, i never thought i'd like any of my Clients but now i actually really enjoy it!
