filming monitors..

    filming monitors..

    im trying to film someone using my pc, and need to get the monitor in the shot (without it flickering)

    anyway round this?? :spangled:


    only way i can get round it i rekcon.. is to stick in the monitor content in post using photoshop, etc..

    change frequency ur recording at mate...i think..

    haev a check on google...theres a way,,,my p800 had a setting on the camera to do this and stop flicker

    is your cam firwire?

    cos uni didnt give me a cable to get my footage off the camera :rolleyes:

    Turn the capture rate down on cam. This will ensure at least one entire frame of monitor video is captured per frame on your recording, so there will be no flicker. :)

    Doesn't a TFT monitor have a refresh rate aswell??
    I don't know. Just interested.

    hhmmm... not LCD ones, i don't think, it's not like a tube that has to refresh itself.

    where's essay boy when u need him.

    Yes, it does update at a certain rate.

    Don't think it does it in a scanning pattern like a CRT tho.

    for those interested.. (doesnt include me :p) i filmed it with a mad filter on (helps with my time elapsed stuff) and it hides the flicker a fair bit.. :up:
