ELIPHINO ​

Our first party, at Cosmic Ballroom, see's us bringing one of our favourite djs to the wheels of steel for a special extended set. Having previously had him play for us in Manchester, Eliphino is finally making the trip to the North East. Not a stranger to these parts, (or the North anyway). Eliphino was born Tom Wrankmore in a little suburb of Leeds, he started out as a hip hop producer & dj, setting up shop with notorious Yorkshire rap outfit, Dirty Diggers, his sound has evolved and expanded to be something entirely different, as his music moved around trying to pin point its sound, so did Eliphino, he moved to Manchester and established a long standing relationship with the Hoya Hoya collective, exchanging sounds with the likes of Lone & Illum Sphere, he then moved down to London, where his music really found his feet. The song More Than Me has become one of the stand out house songs of 2011 (& probably 2012), he's had releases on Hoya Hoyas label, on Giles Petersons esteemed Brownswood Recordings imprint, and the Berlin based Somethinksounds label, to which More Than Me is signed. After years of plugging away and toning his skills in the studio whilst perfecting his mixing skills, Eliphino has truly grown into one of the UKs most exciting producers & djs, mashing up dances all around the uk, not to mention further a field destinations such as Berlin, Milan & France. He has established himself as a regular name at festivals such as Outlook & Soundwave. His ability to read his audience and hone his sets to each individual crowd has made him a must have amongst most UK club nights. Always looking forward, whilst still keeping his hand firmly in the past, Eliphino brings together all things dance-able in the world of music. We are very, very happy to be brining him to Newcastle for his debut performance in the city. Expect a musical journey of discovery as he gives you his own take on the mutant take on house music….​

Joonipah is a young Newcastle based dj & producer that has been doing his rounds on the scene. With a variety of productions, an EP out on Newcastle based Triptik Music and having supported the likes of the Scratch Perverts, Hackman, Dark Sky and come march Brackles, he is certainly one to watch.​

Again representing the North East is dj & producer Psychonaught. With releases on Formant & Kursed Recordings and an impressive range of productions on his Soundcloud Psychonaught delivers a unique blend of 2 step, garage, house and a different take on dubstep. His RnB refixes are really something special and he never fails to cause a stir. ​

Versa has had a string of releases, on labels such as Pushing Red, Smoking Sessions, M.U.D & ICU Audio, as well as a series of high profile collaborative works with the likes of Deep Dubstep kingpin Biome and 2step pioneer Synkro, not to mention the backing he has received from everyone from Indigo to El-B.​

SHADOWFAX​

Shadowfax's sound takes on a more delicate angle, creating enigmatic 2step sounds that can't help but turn your feet to tapping. His music is currently evolving and adapting, crossing genres and boundaries and settling somewhere in the bracket of techno music. However he still keeps things real. Producing a variety of genre challenging music, that you could consider, house, grime, dubstep…what ever it is, all thats for sure is that 2012 is going to be an exciting year for this young dj & producer.​
