    Favourite Essential Mix

I nearly always record the essential mix on radio1 and have done for a few years. What's your favourite ever one (excluding live ones)
Was listening to a tape the other day by Timmy S who won Muzik Bedroom Bedlam a few years ago. Absolutely brilliant breaks and tech-house set

I only heard a bit of it, seemed okay but then I fell asleep.

James Zabiela's Essential mix was pretty good too.

I've got a video of him jumping around like a proper goon at the end of the parade, but it was a fucking mint tune he had on.

    Re: Re: Favourite Essential Mix

I put that in cos it would be too easy to pick a live one especially if you were there. I think if you are doing a 2 hour studio mix for the essential mix they should put a lot of preparation into it (not saying that they shouldn't for a live set). A DJ called Freddy Fresh spent about 120 hours preparing his and used over 80 records and samples in a 120 min mix - fact!
