    Fave book

Just been watching that BigRead thing on BBC (www.bbc.co.uk/bigread ) but I can't decide what my fave book of all time is.

I reckon it has to be something by Roald Dahl because he's a genius. The BFG is a great book but so was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I cudn't help thinking that I'd missed out by not reading some classic books while watching them on the TV. I just don't have time to read stuff like War and Peace anymore.

My fave book is Dreams of Leaving by Rupert Thompson.

Never met anyone else who's ever read it though.

Hitchhikers guide series was pretty good, enjoyed reading that.

Trying to work my way through Complete Works of Shakespeare at the minute though...

My first book was 'Look'. It just had the word 'look' on every page. Bizarre.

    Top read...

Clive Barker's Imajica, an excellent read.

The Stainless Steel Rat by Harry Harrison is also a very good read.

Usually anything by Ben Elton or Nick Hornby, Elton's 'Inconceivable' and 'Dead Famous' sticking out as favourites.

Favourite book of all time is a tricky one though.

As a kid, I loved 'Fantastic Mr Fox' by Roald Dahl, but I'm not sure I loved it enough to call it my favourite of all time.

If I have to choose, Ben Elton - Inconceivable :D

Dont have time to read books.

But if i did, i would say autobiographys are pretty good. Provided it is well written, by someone who knows the person well, and its about someone real, whos actually had and interesting life, not some fake celebrity who just thought theyd cash in.

I've read quite a few autobiographies. My favourite without a doubt was Boy George - Take it like a man. It's a really good read.

I reckon my favourite would be 'The Catcher in the Rye' by J.D. Salinger. Not sure why I like it so much, nothing much happens but I just love it. 'Franny and Zooey' by the same author's pretty damn good too.

I just finished reading a Bob Dylan biography which was really good, it only took me 3 1/2 months to finish! I've started a Paul Weller one but god knows how long it'll take me to get through that one.
