is it common practice in s'land to call sweets ket?????

my boss at work keeps saying it, like 'theres a bowl of ket over there for yous' or 'whos got the ket' when someone brings some sweets in.

its well confusing, ive never heard it before. i'm nearly there with my sniffer when she offers!!!!!
