    Fabric 41 - Luciano

Has anyone who's a member of Fabric First got this yet and, if so, what's it like?

I like a lot of the tracks on there, just wondering how they work in his mix?

Yeah, the tracky's making me excited about Ibiza. That's why I wanted to know what the people who had got it early thought.

Im not one to go on about mixing but in this i couldnt help but notice some shabby blends, to the point where it became a bit predictable. Its a good cd but every mix is the same. He kills the bass of the outgoing track for about 30 seconds then drops in the bass from the incoming track!

As good as the last 2 tracks are they sound out of place especially ''Arabesque'' which is a nice track to finish on but really doesn't fit into Luciano's sound and especially this cd.

A bit lame but the music more than makes up for it!

Luciano's always been like that. I've said it before on here, listen to any of his live sets, I don't think he's ever got through a whole set without one dodgy mix. It's refreshing to here untouched, slightly raw mixes these days though...

If he didnt have a tash and a trendy foreign name he wouldnt be anywhere near as popular

I cant say i agree with that like, whenever ive seen him DJ out hes been wicked and has fully lived up to his reputation IMO. Him & Villalobos b2b on the DC terrace last year - fucking outstanding.

His tash is cool as fuck though :cool2:

Caught Luciano and Locodice at Sonar a few weeks ago and his mixing was abit shoddy. He did look abit worse for wear tho so I kinda blamed it on that. He was constantly mixing the way you explained and I have to admit it started doing my head in..! The music he was playing tho more than made up for it...

duno if i agree with that like..some mixes of his that were about a couple of years ago were fucking immense..thought that sci-fi hi cd was mint aswell although i know a few people dont think much of it...he was good at waxon n all!

He is a good DJ but people just seem to nut hug him a bit too much! Theres loads of better DJ's out there that id rather pay £15 to go and see.

The sci fi hi fi cd was much better than the fabric one imo.

He's got his own sound going on so cant really ask more than that from a dj
