He done briallianty at first but hes just completly fucked things up. The stupid thing is hes got a good squad when everyones fit, boro really should be challenging spurs etc for a top 6 place. Europes gonna kill their season aswell because it means more games more tired players. If Gibson had balls hed have got rid at christmas to give a new manager a chance while the transfer winndows open they havent even tried to bring in any players even if theyre just on loan. Relegation will be the end of Boro aswell, the fans are deluded and theyre struggling to fill the stadium and if they go down theres no way the likes of Viduka, Hasselbaink, Yakubu, Quedrue, Mendieta will stay and they'll be forced into selling Downing with them getting relegated they wont get much for them either.
its not that we are struggling to fill the stadium. we have the 12th highest attendance in the league and are getting just under 30,000 most matches. for a town middlesbrough's size that is impressive... in fact it equals 1/5th of the town's population in the stadium we aint gonna get 35,000 until we are successful, but many clubs dont fill their stadiums to capacity. mcclaren isnt going anyware for the time being as he's recently signed a 4 year contract on about 1million a year my main probs are that he never seems bothered and calls a shit performance 'magnificent' time after time, plays players out of position all the time - mendieta on the left wing when we have adam johnson on the bench who is a left winger... mendieta was never convincing on the right wing and has played his best footy for us as a central midfielder, but mcclaren refuses to play him there he makes terrible substitutions and is tactically naive + he isnt luck with injuries. i doubt we'll go down, in fact i think we might improve when a couple of players come back... but mcclaren is a shite manager and will have to work miracles to win the fans back, manyof whom will not go to games while he is in charge.
