European Qualification If Liverpool win the CL and UEFA change their mind and let them defend the trophy, how will it affect the UEFA Cup qualification? Will it mean that only 2 English teams qualify for it? If it stays at three that will mean 8th place is good enough. Pluss if Liverpool are in the CL next year that will be 5 teams = a quarter of the Premiership
Re: European Qualification basicallly AFAIK the will be 4 teams from the premiership qualifying for next seasons UCL (the top 4 placed teams) this was decided at the start fo the season, no matter if liverpool wint he cup or not this will not change so liverpool have to finish 4th to qualify next season there are 3 teams foer the uefa so 5th6th and 7th place get it if uefa did withdraw this 4th spot for the premier league which they have alreasy said they wont do (but if lpool did win u never know) then it wud be 4th5th and 6th that get uefa but liverpool wont win th UCL co it dont matter
who cares its liverpools right to be there with or without everton if the win how can you compare finishing 4th to winning to vhamps league
Everton have done brilliantly under David Moyes to finish fourth. Why shouldn't they be in the Champions League if thats what the rules stated at the start of the season. They deserve it.
a team that has fought all season for 4th spot-cannot be denied access, it devalues a full season worth of work? i also think the champions should be allowed to defend the trophy but not at the expense of the 4th placed team.
Everton won the League the year of Heysel so they didn't even get the chance to play in the European Cup due Liverpool fans behaviour. That Everton team was one of the best teams I have ever seen & would of stood a good chance of winning the trophy.
