Essential Mix... ...after work ended up stayin up till 5 to listen to the live in ibiza broadcast and Tiestos set from thurs. TIESTO - well good set (techy trance sounding stuff that a lot of djs are beginning to play). JULES - Shit. Whats that tune he always plays in his sets ...'she so god damn beautiful...' It's quite possibly one of the worst things i've ever heard along with Yomanda - Free! This set reminded me a lot of the last time I heard Ferry Corsten whom I also now think is shit and extremely comparable. FERGIE - Awesome! Some quality tunes in there HALLIWELL - ok - thought scratching went on a bit at the start. Very slow start. One awesome tune in there in middle. wot did peeps think? any1 listen? (any1 b bothered to post the set listings from the radio 1 site?)
havent listened to it properly apart from what i taped last nite when i got in but if u think fergie was good, chances r that jules was mint fergie was absolute wank n a half!! xxx

They're not up yet but normally they should be! any1 know how to get them - need fergies tracklistings for fri nite and early sun mornin cos theres about 5 tunes am after
oakey was a fucking joke, ive been a watching oakey since 1996 and it was the worst i have ever seen him play, it was terrible in the club and sounded worse listening to it again, his mixing was nonexistant and he played some terrible tunes namely satisfaction and ressurection. tiesto was fucking brilliant, its a shame they never put pvd on the emix aswell cos he was miles better than them both. jules was crap on the emix, his mixing was similar to oakeys only slightly better timed. when wil he leave that MLK accapella alone! didnt listen to halliwell and fergie cos they are clowns
heard last of oakys set and was pants. Never been a massive fan. The acapella he constantly uses is quite annoying - must think it makes him more technically gifted! Fergie was class!
I was at both nights Thursday was totally ruined by the fact there must have been close on 9000 peeps in amnesia so fooking busy it was like that for most the night we where too busy trying not to get crushed to even think about what tunes where being played missed most of Tiesto and saw PVD by which point i was that fed up i couldnt be arsed , biggest let down of my 2 weeks over there was GUTTED!!!! (45 euros to get in too) Essential mix on Saturday was good Jules was a marked improvement on the following weeks Judgement sunday when he was pathetic , ferry corsten had played a mint set then jules came on and was a disgrace !!! Ess Mix night he was alot better honestly !!! Best night was probs Garlands @ kanya(sp) , or lashed and seeing P Diddy on stage in Manumission very strange !!! Excellent holiday just let down by greedy clubs, 8 euros for water saw some poor bloke ger ripped 30 euros for a baileys in privilidge poor bastard.

No offence but jesus christ - you must be flipping mental to pay 45 euro's to get into a club... and 8 euros for water - FFS! Granted I love dance music - but not enough to be bent over a barrel and mightily fucked by the capitalists that run ibiza these days. Dont know why people go there to be honest - once maybe to see it perhaps, but year on year?! Madness.
It's pretty standard prices over there if you want to go to the big nights. The door fee is easier to take cos the clubs are well impressive and you don't get to go very often. But the drinks are the worse. When you're in a club 6 - 12 hours you've got to drink water which empties your pockets. You can't even think about drinking alcohol in the club unless you've got some serious cash.
