    England's best ever XI

On tv next Saturday. Who do you think is? I don't think many of the old boys are that good. Even if they did win the World Cup. My team would be:

    P Shilton
    G Neville, B Moore, T Adams, S Pearce,
    D Beckham, Gazza, B Charlton, C Waddle,
    A Shearer, M Owen

    Subs: B Robson, G Lineker, J Barnes, D Seaman, P Beardsley, D Platt, S Campbell.

Hmmm... my selection shows we've either lacked quality in many positions over the years or I'm just not thinking hard enough!

What about Hoddle, probably one of the most gifted England players EVER.

I really don't think we've been blessed with full backs in the past. Couldn't think of anyone past Neville, as much as I hated writing his name. Suppose i should've avoided it and put Beckham in wing back.

There should always be room for Billy Wright & the same applies to Finney,Lofthouse & Charlton

Would have Duncan Edwards in the same applies list but he died to young.
