USofA 1-1, pretty boring pointless game. Notibly no old firm players playing. Dunno if rested, pulled out or out of favour but Maloney, McManus, Ferguson and even Beatie when fit would all get in my team.

I didn't think england were that good tbh, nowhere near as good as everyone on tv is making out. Argentina for most the game were giving them a lesson in how to play, the only reason england won is through complacency on argentinas part near the end of the game. England seemed to lack ideas when in possession and most the time just cracked it down field hoping rooney could win them something. good result for england still tho.
I thought England looked far more balanced once Joe Cole got put on the left hand side. Rooney was amazing and is the key to the team. Beckam is also much more effective on the right.
i agree as soon as joe cole came on they seemed to have something else, argentina were frightened when he was running at them. Beckham frustrates me to watch, hes obviously good but he seems to look for the long floated ball too much and half the time it gets cut out. tbh im happy aslong as england dont shine, come on italy
it was a canny game but we were lucky to win...thought it was funny that owen beat crouch to a header for his second goal!
twas one of the best games i've seen in along time! it was a very open game, lots of attacking etc. i think we did deserve to win tho. the argies looked pretty good riquelme ran the show. They only played their european players tho! defo one's to watch for germany!
Great game we showed weve got the attacking strength to open up anyone but to be fair there were the same old problems there two weak goals conceded young isnt good enough imo ferdinand has the talent but on current form id have him out even terry had his bad moments in this game and king well admitedley he wont come up against riquelme evey game but it showed his limitations ! Overall very encouraging , rooney is the key we should rap him in cotton wool and hide him away till next summer . Defence and midfield still need sorted cole did well when he came on but where never gonna get the best out of lamps and gerrard unless theres a proven defensive midfielder behind them . Pele voted our last defensive midfielder player of the last world cup ! Weve got great players and a good chance of winning in germany for the 4th time !
