this is defoes big chance, he plays tonight and most likely in the next game vrs Wales (world cup q) cos Owen is ineligible. a few goals and hes in the WC squad end of story.

Maybe Sven will look at Carrick and Bent as well tonight

    We didntdeserve to win.

Rooneys looked good and deserved his goal but the rest of our team looked pretty shit.

We have no width at all apart from when Neville and Cole tried get forward and i dont think we stung 5 passes together before giving the ball away.

The friendlys too early in the season, nobodys got into the swing of things apart from Gerrard really whos been playing competative for a while......i know we couldnt cos of the World Cup qualifiers but if we could have i'd have liked to see this game played in a few weeks time if it was going to have been played.

The writing was on the wall when James came on at half time wearing the number 13 as if hes not unlucky enough already the tosser.

Still no excuses we played shite and they deserved the win.

is sven mad? why replace robinson with clamity james? what can he hope to learn about james in a friendly that he dosnt already know from his many games for england? james is a atletic player who is a good shot stopper ubt is dodgy at cross's and decisions (as seen tonight) sven should have played green or antoher young english keeper...... james started the rot and was badly posistioned for most of the goals......

as for Defoe, he did FUCK ALL and that was in the first half when they where playing ok with the A teamers.

That is the worst defeat England have had since most of you have been on the planet BUT I wont start baying for Svens blood until after the Wales game in 19 days.

    THATS WHEN IT GETS SERIOUS

I wanna see Kirkland in the squad, when he's fit hes better than Robinson imo it just hje needs to sort his fitness troubles out.

I think Joe Coles class but hes a centre midfielder, Downing on the left and unless Beckham sorts it out n stays on the right then fuck him if he just wants to play his game and isnt gonna be a team player then Wright Phillips on the left, give u a bit of width and options to actually pass the ball about and stretch teams and push their fullbacks back and get them on the backfoot.

I think England needed this result, gets people on their back, and the squad are forced closer together. I don't think the players were up for it at all................................while we held the mighty Malta 1-1.

    Typical friendly performance.

James is shit, and proved it yet again that he makes to many mistakes for international level.

    Johnson isnt good enough either.

Even with the talent we had in the midfield it still has no balance, It four central midfielders at the end of the day and we need some width through either Wright-Phillips or Downing, that can actually give us a different way of breking down the opposition

Yes it was. It didnt look like the players had ever met before never mind trained together and didnt know what to do on the pitch. The only thing that was different is that Sven didnt make 80 changes at half time!

Tbh getting beat 4-1 by a decent Danish team is no worse than getting beat by Australia 3-1

    definition of the word typical.

Commonly encountered: average, common, commonplace, general, normal, ordinary, usual. See surprise/expect.

How can something be tpical if it hasnt happened for 25 years, I thought you where at University?
