    ENGLAND Fans

I think it's a joke how English fans, clubs and the national team are all treated like yobs.

There not and watching foreign football matches like Juventus V Fiorientina, the Amsterdam derby, Turkish football (FULL STOP!), even the Germans all makes you wonder if there is a witch hunt on to get England out of European football.

Even that Middlesborough players comments were ablatant wind up coming up to the game. The only national race that should be allowed to ridicule the English and vice versa is Scotland - that's our right from birth ;)

I say come on England - get it up them!!!

    PS> Jimmy Hills a P00F! :D

The vast majority are fine and only there to watch the football.

Howvever everywhere we go there always a few idiots who think part of visiting a foriegn city is to trash it and run raging battles with locals and the police.

The other thing is it happens almost everywhere England play an away match and yet when out clubs play in Europe there is amost never a single incident. Except when someone plays Galatasaray, cos there fans are just pure evil.

We only have ourselves to blame for the reputation we have now. It may not be as bad now but, because of the past, we're watched very closely and when something kicks off, it is highlighted more than similar incidents in other countries.

It isn't just at international level either. Look at Cardiff's 'Soul Crew' or West Ham's 'ICF'. I've read a book about the Soul Crew and it openned my eyes to how bad the situation was in the past and still is today.

It's a shame we're judged on the past because some people use it as an excuse to behave the same way now. It's a hard reputation to shake off tho.

yeah but 'crews' at club level are still big now, almost as big as they ever were... its jus an excuse for violence, a good fight... as long as theres football theres gonna be violence. end of.

Why are England singled out for bans etc. though...

Surely countries like Turkey are far more dangerous.

I agree 2 Leeds supporters where stabbed to death in Turkey and we get slated for going on the pitch whats that all about !!!

But after going to Milan I understand this a bit more foreign countrys turn a blind eye to hooliganism where ours choose to highlight it in the papers Etc .....

We where getting pelted with Bottles of Piss n Flares and all the police did was put there helmets on so they didnt get hit , if that had happened in a Premier League ground , All English Clubs would probably be banned from Euro Competition !!!

    Its a Disgrace

    Exactly mate.

Figo was nearly hit with a whisky bottle in a total barrage of abuse from the Barca fans after his transfer to Real and this was publisiced all over Europe yet Fifa and Uefa take no stance.

I think it's discrimination and I'm a Scot. It's shocking but the government won't support you enough.
