EliteXC on CBS last night Anyone watch it? Thought the Diaz/Denny fight was class. Didn't expect the Scott Smith Robbie Lawler fight to finish as quick as it did, expected Smith to win to be honest after the fight last month. I cant wait for Gina Carrano/Chrissy Cyborg like! She was strong as out.
Not sure if its on Sky its one of the major US networks, this was EliteXC's second show first one was in May I think? There's other ways of watching though
You can't get CBS in the UK (that I know of).. it's one of the major networks in the US, hence EXC/Gary Shaw thinking they're the bees knees for getting the first real TV deal. It's just a shame for them that all their Kimbo hype doesn't work with real fans and their ratings were down 40% this time It really says a lot about their hopes to brainwash people the first time round. Idiots. I really liked EXC up until the fuss with Kimbo and now I'd rather save my GB's for more worthwhile events *Scotty: This was by no means their second show.. just their second on CBS.
Yeah thats what I meant by second show, did you see it when they interviewed Kimbo and the whole place full on booed They must be mental putting all their faith in him when he put in an awful performance against James Thompson. Still the second show was much more enjoyable I thought than the first one.
I haven't even watched it. My combined download/upload limit per month is 40GB and so far I'm over 60 lol. I'd say 80% of that is MMA related so I'm having to calm down a bit. I'm gonna catch up on Dream and career packs unless it's Affliction or UFC I think. Individual fights will work out better for my bandwidth for shows like EXC where they're botting the likes of Kimbo I can't see EXC continuing on primetime CBS unless they fine tune their show. I'm not sure which event it was where they had a title fight underneath Kimbo's but it was a joke and showed a great deal of disrespect to the established fighters. They need more top level competition but with these shenanigans I doubt anyone will want to fight there when there are other org's such as Affliction (offering stupid amounts of money) and UFC (where the top competition is at bar the HW). That said, Affliction need to make sure they start making money as i'm pretty sure they made nothing from their first show :s
I hope they stick around long enough to make some coin from it, I heard they're thinking of booking Arlovski/Fedor for October? What ISP are you with? Orange cut my speed from 8meg to 512 for going over their fair use policy they are by far the worst ISP I have ever used.
I'm with Talk Talk. Last letter I got was in December informing me that I'd gone over the limt. Since then I've used netlimiter to keep tabs on my bandwidth but recently i thought fuck it, I'll just change ISP when they send me another letter. I was originally told there were no limits by the door salesperson but it was my mam who was sorting it out so i didn't get much say in the matter. And yeah.. Arlovski/Fedor October 11th. In vegas too, so the UFC will probably be at the drawing board right now.
