Are these better than the new Kaos pad? I want a beasty effects pad to play alongside Ableton.

i couldnt tell you...from my point of view, its a good piece of kit, also runs midi so you can sync with your laptop/midi equipment for effect timing...

Kaos Pads are far too random...they have more effects than the Pioneer but its far harder to recreate the same thing twice

Anyway, why do you need an FX Box when you have Ableton? Just getyourself the DGlitch VST and you're sorted

The effects are limited in Ableton and theres only so much i can assign to controls on my controller. Fair enough i can change options etc but i hate having to touch the mouse. I love playing with more than just the controller too!

I know! Maybe i should have said that there not hands on enough. The Kaos 3 sounds wicked and all the problems have been sorted apparently.

If i was you i would buy an X-Session Midi Controller and use it solely for effects

its got 16 Dials and 12 Buttons (and a X-fader) and its only £79

Just been looking at this and it looks so good ive just purchased one :cool2:

£79 quid seems like really good value to me like. Is it as good as it looks Si? I had the same problem with the FX in ableton. I dont think you have much control over them. For me personally, this is due to lack of dials available, as there are only 9 on my midi keyboard and these are used as eq's across 3 channels. I think this should sort the problem out though :cool2:
