The leg looks like it is separated from the foot.

I saw this and rewinded it a few times on the old Sky+, it didn't look too bad of a tackle at first but fuck me it was.
    Shocking state of affairs.

No need for a Bedlington bod sticking up for Ashington lad, Jimmy.

I think Taylor did go to kick him early doors as most defenders do to little forwards/ wingers & it went badly wrong.

"Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes Birmingham's Martin Taylor intentionally set out to injure Eduardo at St Andrews.

Taylor was dismissed within the opening stages of the 2-2 draw on Saturday when his over-the-top challenge on Eduardo broke the striker's leg.

Wenger was unhappy his side dropped two points in injury-time, although it was Taylor's challenge that left a sour taste in his mouth come the final whistle.

    Season over

The vastly-experienced French tactician has confirmed Eduardo's season is over and he also fears the striker could well miss a substantial chunk of the next campaign.

"I think this guy should never play football again. What's he doing on the pitch?" fumed Wenger.

"I've gone along with the idea for a long time that to stop Arsenal, you have to kick Arsenal. I knew that was coming for a long time now.

"The season is over for him and it's very, very bad. More than the season is over."

    ----------------------------------------------------

It's a bit rich considering some of the tackles Eboue has made this season and his captain kicked Nani last week trying to hurt him.

The tackle was a poor one and over the top of the ball, there's no doubting that, but if anyone for one second things he intentionally tried to break his legs they need to test their heads. He went in hard looking to get stuck in and let him know it wasn't gonna be an easy game. He miss timed it and unfortunately the result was horrific.

However Wenger needs to really shut the fuck up as he's just a hypocritical bastard.

    Why?

It was a poor tackle. You see worse every few weeks in this league but because someone didn't have their leg broke nothing gets said.

It was a late tackle but no worse than others we have saw this season, the only difference being Eduardo's foot planed in the ground so the impact goes down his leg and looks for an exit and thats the consequence. If his leg had been in the air he would have walked away with nothing more than a bruise.

yeah i see what your saying mate, and fair enough, banned for life may be harsh - but the usual 3 match ban cannot br suffient for this in my opinion. its not like other horror injuries (buust, larsson, cisse, nilis, smith) where it has been a totaly freak accindent this is time the tackle was terrible!

It was a poor tackle but you cant go throwing the book at him, he knows what he's done, it was late yes a 3 game ban may not seem right maybe ad a game or two onto it but thats about it.

He has to live with what he's done and when people have done worse and got away with it you can't condemn one player when you go back through the season and look at worse tackles than this but they get let off because it wasn't a serious injury.
