Eddie Halliwell Just wondering why no one on here likes him? iv never seen him like, but whats wrong with him? Apart from sounding like a complete idiot on his radio show...
i like him. i think its just due to his success, and the way he went from being a humble talented dj, to an up his own arse i like to hear my name screamed a million times, and instead of scratching ill sample a scratch and fuck around with it, dj. but the majority of times ive seen him he plays a blinder so id say go see him and find out yourself
as much as its cool not to like eddie, i think hes a class dj, and his radio shows funny as fuck. above and beyond, now theres people who cant do good radio.
I used to hate him because he played as orbit once correctly described it in Promise "fucking disgraceful". It used to sound like hard house for trance clubs to me. However, the second last time I seen him he was alright and the last time fucking quality. I'm assuming that's because he played Trance. Also, anyone that chants his name is automatically a bell end.
totally agree with the chanting!! i feel embarrassed for them when it starts... "eddie, eddie, eddie" but even worse are those who chant "here we, here we fuckin go"
you talking about trance around the world? eddie is hit and miss i rekon. sounds like abit of an idiot sometimes on his radio show. 'eddies army' all that stuff
haha, a na, dont reckon he came up with eddies army like. I have to admit, iv chanted it a few times!
on one of his shows awhile ago someone rang up and after they had finished the call eddie said if he rang back next week he would be promoted to lance corporal or something
It makes me laugh when message forums rant & rave about Eddie, slating him or not agreeing with his style, yet when ever he hosts his 'fire it up' or 'bosh live' gigs theyv'e been a sell out in most venues no smaller than a 2000 capacity venue? As far as his radio show Eddie is a DJ, not Terry Wogan? if your wanting to listen to a radio show where someone with the perfect 'radio voice' is on tune into BBC radio 4. His show is always bang up to date with the latest upfront tracks, hosts an altern8 mix where he plays across the boarder not just including Trance & Techno. Hosts 'full fire' guest mixes from other DJ's every week that at some point would have catered for all tastes: Umek, Valentino Kanzyani, Marco Bailey, John Acquaviva, jOOf, mistres Barbra.... to name but a few, in my book he hosts a successfull show, being now moved from a Thursday night slot to Friday sort of speaks for itself in my book.
SPOT ON! i wish they would move it to a tuesday or wednesday tho. that way id be more likely to listen to it every week.
you obviously didn't go to tw3 (or it might have been 4 actually) then... totally shocking. he was just a little bit wrecked tho bless him... i liked him for the 1st year when he found out tw@tted people liked it when he scratched over the dawn... after that it was kinda like he became a one trick pony...? haven't heard him for a bit tho... and at least he's not a no-trick pony like jules!
You got the full brunt of his technical abilities when he was playing that techno set at Promise and you could see what he was doing on the screen
