DVD Help I downloaded PVD's Dance Valley full set the other day and was wondering if there's any way that i can hoy it onto DVD or if i have to fanny about changing things over n this n that before i can do so ?? The set itself is 91 mins long, i have tried to just drag and drop into the programme id use on here but nee joy It's a WMV file at present too Cheers
Hmmmm compressed it last night, when its on the PC now it's 90 mins long, when it was finished it was only 63 mins long Will i lose some of it or is this what always happens ?? Thats nearly 27 mins of set footage
Cheers There's : MPEG2 SVCD (NTSC) MPEG2 SVCD (PAL) MPEG2 DVD (NTSC) MPEG2 DVD (PAL) What one should i pick, when i did it originally i used the "MPEG2 DVD (PAL)" and thats when it cut the set down to just 60 mins when its 91 as WMV ??
I'd use something like Main concept to convert it to an MPEG2 file (or DVD quality file) and then pass it through TMPEG DVD Author. Done it loadsa times and it works everytime..
Right.... I converted the file last night, when i come in today theres : PVD Dance Valley_mpeg 3.99 GB PVD Dance Valley_aud 145 MB PVD Dance Valley_vid 3.81 GB When i have gone to copy he mpeg one i am using DVD-RW's, there just new today and are 2X and 4.7 GB - however whenever it goes to copy the file onto CD the CD's just get ejected and it says failed I did try originally with DVD-R's but again that kept fucking up and am just getting sick now Can anyone help again or point me in right direction as to what files i should be adding to the CD n why it maybe fucking up ?!?! Cheers
Get yourself a DVD authoring program.. I use TMPEG DVD Author.. This will above all other things allow you to convert the MPEG into .vob files.. which is the best file to write to a video dvd. Something is telling me that a 4GB MPEG probably isn't suitable for a dvd.. I'm pretty sure that 2GB chunks are the max allowed.. although I may be confusing that with some other file system. Also by authoring the dvd u could put in menus and chapter marks..
the MPGs and AVI's that i get of my digital video camera are about 4Gig for 20mins... once you bung it into your DVD authoring prog it sorts it out. Nero does a good job of this and have never had any bother with AVIs of up to 9 gig!
I got lost in this thread after me first post :spangled: Somones gonna have to put this set onto DVD for me
