DVD Drive problem bought a new LG super multi drive, installed it on the master cable in my tower, the tray opens and closes so obviously works....but it cant be found anywhere on my pc :evil:
u can't have mixtures of master/slave and cable select - i'd change both IDE controllers so u have a master and slave on each. make sure the hard drive with your OS on the Primary master though. obvious i know.
tis sorted.....i had my new drive on master ide, and a pioneer dvd rom on the slave, took that out and put my old philips cdrw on the slave and my new drive is working tip top...seems that my pc couldnt handle to forms of dvd drive
