    DVD/AV Receiver Help...

Right.... If I connect my DVD player to my AV Receiver with a Digital Coax do I still need to connect the normal RCA audio cable as well (The Red/White one)? Obviously I still need to connect the video RCA cable (Yellow one).

Also... If I get cable which is S-Video --> Scart to go from my AV Receiver to my TV. How do I know if it will work. Should it work anyway. is S-Video just better quality or am I missing something?

    Thanks

Digital coax? AV? Coax is used for standard RF inputs, not AV video inputs. i think. Anyways, yes, you'll still need to connect the audio channels to the AV input.

S-video is better quality than the standard yellow video phono connector - the scart > s-video lead should have all the audio connectors too.

i think that makes sense? where's essay boy when u need the full technical break down

Got a digital coax for the audio to my receiver... cant to s-video (with scart to tv) as the dvd only has normal video line out and the s-video/video signals on the receiver are on different busses, so its a normal video (with scart) to the tv.
got to say the digital coax makes a lot of difference. 7.1 channels!!!!!
