When I went to an open day for Durham uni they were actually trying to sell the social life in Durham by this sad fact!!
Some sad people were actually like 'wow yeah' but I just thought ok then go to ncl instead!:D

    Durham is a beautiful city.

last week i went for a walk in chester woods, near durham, and it was lovely. me daniel si and gillian had a walk along the river, then had to walk THROUGH the river, and climb rocks and walk along dark wet tunnels, but it was really nice.

then we went to durham and went to pizza hut, then had a j by the river, even if there isnt that much to do, its a nice place just to walk around and look in the shops and stuff.

suderland on the other hand is shit.

Sunderland is a scabby city but its a fucking MINT night on the piss/score.

Sunderland has LOADS of pubs.... only Blackpool can boast more pubs per square meter than Sunderland.

Durham, great pubs if your like me and like your real ale. Sunderland, humm well.. think of a poor man's quayside night out crossed with the surroundings of the big market. Beach is a cross between baja and the trades in consett.

Theres a bar tho which is good, think its called Baroque, anyway its church-like with gargoyles everywhere.

sunderland is a nasty place, me and my mate flyered for promise there a few times about 18 months ago, and it was a very depressing experience.
    the bridges shopping centre?nice

durham is a lovely little city, my girlfriend has an interview to do teacher training there.

id rather go to baghdad university than sunderland to be honest
