Looking to go here this xmas and new year, from whoever has been, is it better off staing half board or bed and breakfast in a slightly better hotel?

Also, Ive heard its quite expensive when you are out there, is this true, and by how much more than here?

    dubai is really nice.
i would stay in a hotel as near to jumeriah beach as you can
most the hotels are are amazing ....they all try andout do each other so they are all really posh.
its not that expensive you can eat really cheap if you do your homework.
do a search on the wed for places....theres shit loads of good Restaurants.
make sure you head to trilogy or pepermint if you go clubbing.
i would also suggest going out in the desert in the jeeps its good fun and only cost about £30

My pappa's buying a place over there when he retires in 2 years, he fell in love with the place when he was grafting over there in his 20's & he's been going back ever since. Give's me a cheap getaway when i get sick of being in the office i suppose:D

Do you still put the odd one-off night on out there, or do you have any planned for the near future?

Can you not just check the myspace page of everyone in the world who owns a pair of decks and come up with a date and line-up yourself?
