Dual CD decks Reet, im getting a a set of these but i dunno which ones. Anyone recommend any of these? (Numark CDN-22
I've used the numarks - they're pretty good for learning the basics and they're only £130 if you shop around - means you're not losing that much money if you decide to upgrade later on. They've got no extras on them though. I don't know what the stantons are like but every gemini cd deck I've used has been absolute gash, I'd avoid them.
I would but iv got absolutely no cashflow at the minute. And im not a fan of debt like. Plus a lot of bars and stuff use these, so these are canny practical if i want to start playing out. I think its gonna be the stanton ones.
fuck all them if youve got a laptop then get something like this http://www.dv247.com/invt/froogle/36417/ if not then just buy some turntables, theyll last a lot longer than a pair of cdjs and theyre a hell of a lot more satisfying
Iv already got a pair of turntables, its just costing a bomb to buy vinyl. And i sold my laptop the other month.
ive used the numark's in a few places and they're nasty - you can mix with them, but if you plan on doing anything fast with them, forget it, the response on them for pitch bend is gash the low-end gemini gear is always rubbish, the higher end gear is much better these days in comparison to its dodgy name it had for itself see if you can have a go at the stanton's, they're trying to make a name for themselves it seems at the minute, so in theory you should get more bang for your buck go to aitkens @ high bridge, they might have a set to try out - or wait until the bpm show (11th nov) and try them all out before you buy
If you really, really have to get dual cd decks, and I don't recommend it all, get either Pioneer 100's (quite old now so would be cheap) or get Denon. No other brands are any good
Cheers for your help. I dont really want to do owt apart from beatmatch and the all the other basic stuff so i think its gonna be the stantons.
