    Re: Drum & Bass

Have mentioned this before on here but, as someone who's not massively into dnb the best i've ever heard was High Contrast's mix for the Fabric live series (number 25 i think). If you like trance he's probably the most accessable as his music is very melodic, almost cinematic, rather than the bass driven stuff you tend to hear.

Only a suggestion but look out this mix - was fucking class!!

Saw high contrast last week...he was immense! :D Absolutely amazing you wanna check him out, at one stage the music put me into a trance like only trance music has done before! Was amazing, lovely warm sounding basslines and i was away! :)

Anyone into Drum and Bass should get themselves down to Curves at the Casino Club this Saturday for a night of old-skool classics.

I'm playing the warm-up from 10 till 12 playing some dubstep and heavy nu/old breaks.

Last time was quality, this should be even better!

If you are starting to like Drum n Bass but don't wann go straight into the heavy stuff I can heavily recommend an album called 'In Rotation' by DJ Marky and Xrs. The are brazillian Dnb producers and dj's and their tunes are proper sunkissed chilled beats.

I live with a bunch of lads who love house but hadn't listened to dnb before. I played the album for them and they all wanted a copy! It's great.

Another good album is 'Diary of a Digital Soundboy' by Shy Fx and T Power. Not to heavy either and good sing along tracks.

If you'd like something heavy to try out then give the following mix album a try: Breakbeat Kaos by Adam F and Dj Fresh. It's my favourite cd ever! Absoloute blinder and it showcases come of the classic tunes from the past few years like 'Ska' by DJ Zinc, 'Scrambled eggs' by Roni Size, 'Evac Q8' by DJ Hazard, 'Those DJ's' by DJ SS, 'Lyric on my Lip' by Tali, and 'Barcelona' by DK and Epsilon. All absolute stonkers!
The cd also has MC GQ rhyming over the tunes and he is an absolute legend, seen him live twice and he's mint!

In the fabriclive series look for High Contrast, DJ Hype, and J Majik. All good!

Finally look for Pendulums album 'Hold Your Colour'. Best DnB album of last year!
