I have just reformatted my HD
now all my downloads are being placed on the desktop
How can i change the default destination
Its probably staring me in the face but can i hell change it

what program are you downloading with?

havent got a clue joe
i download from rapidshare
and it used to ask me where i wanted to save the files
now it just puts them straight on the desktop

My OS is XP pro corporate

when you press download, does it not give you a save as option?

I assume you mean rapidshare the website?

And I'm assuming youre using explorer or firefox

what did you do actually? downloads are weird in Firefox 2, don't like it its not intuitive at all.

It does. you set the path in settings and anythig u download goes to same location which why it dont promt you everytime.

If you click on the download tab u can change the path from the bottom there!
