Do Your Pocket And Your Club A Favour!!!

As the Telewest seems to become a more frequently used event venue. Can I jst ask all of the promise goers, to avoid being dazzled by the bright light promises of these "BIG EVENT" gigs. Lets be honest, they nothing special they rape your pocket and your club suffers for weeks either side of it.

Do yourselves and your club a favour and stick with the tried and tested!!

As far as festivals go and that i think its safe to say that Gatecrasher leaves the rest behind with the NEC and GCSSS events - Godskitchen this year played a mssive part in helping everyone enjoy there summer too which again was a sucess in GKKK - its gonna attract scallies as we all know but to me if it means forking out £50 for a ticket or £30 @ that then ill pay it as i know im gonna havea good night - i didnt think that GK @ Telewest was up too much myself but thats just my point of view really

Events / Festivals are certainly more of a fun day out than a night @ me local IMO - there ya can have all the laughs all the DJ's all the randoms in some big fuck off field / arena where ya most likely havent havent got a clue where ya are !

I have never missed Promise for a Telewest event. I like to support the local talent and of course my friends.

Thats where it gets affected! If theres a big event on at the Arena, Promise is bound to be affected and has been in the past!

People dont generally go to both. They like to save themselves for a big event like Godskichten, so they get their moneys worth of fun from that event.

Not many people can afford to do both either, or have the energy! Think about it, Promise 10- 3/4 then Gods the next night 9-6. Its a tough one to do, though I have managed in the past, and intend to!

so ur saying... that if we didnt go.... that godskitchen wudnt have another event up here??




course they wud. and so will others in time.

i agree thatit puts a strain on promise.. but everyother club has problems.

promise is lucky that it doest have another nite to compete with every friday.

everyonce in a while another event will keep promise on its toes.

Each to their own I say. If they want to go to the Arena, let them go. If they decide to go 2 Promise, let them do that. If they decide 2 do both, let them do that. It's up to them really so stop preaching.

It's a tuff one to call, and agree that you go where you wanna go. Fair enough I really enjoy promise and never had a bad night there, but if I don't wanna go then I don't go. I'm sure the ppl at promise would rather have a club of ppl enjoying their night and loving the music and not going as they feel obliged to as it is their local club.
I wanna see Promise grow as much as the next person, and go most nights or when the line up interests me (which is v often). Although Events give you the opportunity to see a wide range of Dj's at one time and the whole atmosphere is usually great, apart from telewest where the Scally's spoilt it for me.
I went to GC SSS and though it was class and friends have told me Creamfield and Global Gathering were amazing. I have loads of awsome nights in Promise as well.
AT the end of the day everyone is there for a good time whether is be in your local or at an event.
