    your fans, the lot.

I went to the Everton game last week and it was possibly THE worst game of football I've seen in 23 years..

I dont understand it either............ Newcastle used to be such an entertaining team to watch and the last few seasons they've dont nothing.

I blame the manager at the moment hes gash! The money has always been there for players its just some of the players bought have been poor.

Owen is a class signing for em. But what about the others before??

Over reliance on shearer til the introduction of a decent partner ie. Owen was a prob before too!

Just need a couple of more top quality signings (midfield and a defender) and a manager with some knowledge of the game and they'll be flying high again!

    I voted players.

You are an average Premiership side, always have been (no disgrace in that). The difference from previous years being Shearer up front.

With Owen fit I reckon you could return to those level of results. You won't make the next level till the defence is sorted out.

Souness. The players aren't much better though. Can't really blame Shepperd, he's backed the manager to the hilt. I was prepared to give Souness time, at least till the injury list clears up, but last night was the final straw! Not just that we played completely shit, but after 20 mins, our formation was letting them totally dominant the game, what does he do? Nothing. It took him until half time to do anything! Why? Because he hasn't got a clue, he's totally tactically naive! We need a change now! I'd have fucking Paul Jewell!

TBH the football we played for the first 5/6 years in the Premiership easily made up for not winning anything. We by far played the best football in the country during those years. I'm more bothered about watching good football and being entertained than winning something.

I know people say we bottled it, but it was more to do with Man Utd's incredible end of season form when they won something like 20 on the trot! Neverless, we still should of won it:(

    nail on the head

plenty of good attacking players, but a truly pathetic defence...

boumsong, bramble and babayaro are utter shite- boumsong plays like he is wearing ice skates

you need at least 2 more defenders- the only good ones you have are carr and taylor

honestly, i'd rather win every week.

no points awarded for style, otherwise arsenal would win the league every year.

    Fuck off

that has to be the stupidest thing i have ever heard! So you'd rather newcastle played mint but got beat than played shit and got 3 points! Football is all about winning otherwise whats the point! why support a team if ya not fussed about winning ?

How? I'm not saying I want to get beat every week am I? If your playing good football, scoring plenty of goals, etc, your more than likely going to be pretty high up in the league. Of course I'd want to win something, but it's not the be all and end all. I go to the match to be entertained. If I was a Bolton, the old Wimbledon sort of teams watching shite football then I'd seriously wonder what the point was.

It's obvious winning is brilliant, but so is being entertained surely? Newcastle are doing neither atm, but they'll still get my support always
