    DJ'ing

If i found out what tiesto set was for say next sat. then put on a night would you pay the £15-£20 a head he would charge?

Bearing in mind the only difference between the sets would be my behind the decks, mixing and stuff would b exactly the same.

you can't really say that though, because the good thing about going to see a big dj is he'll probably have the big tunes before anyone else, and it'll be small time dj's that buy the tracks after to play similar.
Also there will be a vibe involved with going to see a big dj at an event with good lighting etc and a massive crowd compared to someone playing the dog and parrot.

exactly  and when u go see a big dj your probably going to see him/her perform her own tracks just like a band, and there's nothing like hearing a track you love played by the actual producer hmself.

DJ's dont really give a performance as such though,

it's basically their job to put cd's on, and maybe wave their arms a little, but anyone can do that!

thats crap though, bands play their stuff through instruments, djs play music they have produced through decks, how's that not performing?

Well then why would people pay £15-20 to get in to see you when all you do is put on a cd and wave your arms about and have less experince in doing so havent played at any major clubs or festivals and the hightlight of your career is playing at camp david?

Its like asking the people who go down the park to watch their local sunday league team playing football if they'd pay £500+ to have the priviladge of watching them for the season.
