Dj u think could be............... which dj do u think could become the name on everybodies lips in the coming year, dj's who are getting there but aint there just yet????????? John Askew for me, i aint seen him live yet but ive got a few mix sets and there awesome!!!, a bit different, but the future looks bright for him he's a highly talented producer and DJ think he might make a big impact in 2004!!! wouldnt mind PROMISE booking him either Mark.......
Gotta be Mr SONNY WHARTON. He started to become the name on everybody's lips last year, then stuck there for a bit, but he's getting more and more exposure this year, which is good for the lad. Last year's Manumission and Renaissance Ibiza resident, returned to playing places like Pacha London & The Cross, Manumission resident again this Summer, back out for some closing parties in a couple weeks, Funky Room @ Tidy's Magna7, and still holding up slots at the country's better house clubs. Watch this space
Re: Dj u think could be............... i say the same for nice guy danny very very talented dj/producer the man is a machine can build a set properly then just send it off into madness he plays every night of the weekdown the mids gigs have taken him far a field as sundissential, afterssential, shaft mark please book nice guy danny for quality
i think john askew is a bit boring. most of his productions are very flat, and pretty much bore me to death dj to watch out for....erm.......non i dont think, as i think its becoming very difficult for new people to break through, as big clubs are not really letting much new talent play, and as people arent bothered about going to small nights anymore. Vision are doing a good job tho, letting 2/3 new djs play each month....promise should do it too....it would go down really well i reckon. ben woods is class....and i would like to see him playing more places!
Re: Re: Dj u think could be............... mate usually i don't comment on what other people say on here but i am just about ready to be sick all over if you kiss this guy's arse anymore!! fair play to him he's obviously going places but do you have to go on about your eternal love for him in every post?
i can't remember any others he has done to be honest, and i dont think i played them so they mustn't be up my street! is it him who made that introspection tune thats kicking about tho, cos that's good innit!or am i just getting all muddled up?
ive not heard of introspection? might be dale askew? he did john askew - the door, and loads of other things on eve records.
don't think i was keen on the door either! btw it's Terry Bones vs Fred Baker - Introspection (John Askew Remix)
Re: Re: Re: Re: Dj u think could be............... dunno wot your laffing at stumpy and dave the only time ive brought his name into posts is when its needed about new tunes and shit so back down before you get slapped down
James Lawson is getting bigger and bigger, already big in London, should get more attention further afield. Mark Leish has potential too but I think one who could get v. big is Caroline Banx. Great DJ but she's also pretty damn hot, so that's gona help her a bit.
ben lost certainly has the ability to be very big, he needs to get some higher profile uk dates tho. james zabiela is already big i suppose but i think he is finally getting a bit more recognition, i'd like to see him play more uk dates
Re: Dj u think could be............... im going to see him, fergie, nic fanciulli and petrae foy at Turnmills next week!!!
Ben Lost for defo. Built up a good following this year and is sure to get more recognised and booked in '04. Can also see goldenscan and solarstone playing more and more. Gabriel & Dresden will become household names too. Massive in America but with their productions such as ATRC they'll get big over here
