    DJ Tiesto?!?!?!?!?

Is there any dates planned for God himself, Tiesto to play Promise? We all know he is capable!

I've seen Tiesto play several times now and every time he has almost killed the night.

Like what I just posted in the Ferry Corsten thread, I think he is more chillout/ melodic trance. You hear that everywhere. Van Dyk, Tiesto, Corsten, Hardwick...

Can't we see some more unusual DJs, like Kai Tracid, Marco V, DJ Rush, and Scot Project. It really would be something to shout about if they were at Promise, but I think we have all seen the PVD's and Tiesto's of this world.

    DJ Tiesto.

I think I'll be accompanying a certain large friend in September... the word TIESTO stood out like a sore thumb and who should I find but a post by none other than DJ Sequoia?! I'll be there mate.

But enough about that.... is there anyone special playing this Fri? Does anyone know of a Sasha date?

    Bring it on....

HOW DARE YOU?!?! Chill out/trance isn't played enough, Im gettin a bit sick of goin to see big room, big name DJs and getting the same sort of hard, repetitive stuff all the time. I.e Jules I've seen 3 times, Sonique twice and John Kelly twice and I would not be able to tell the nights apart. Yeah they're good DJs but when you've been to one night it's difficult to find something that little bit different, that's why I appreciated (and I know it sounds like I'm contradicting myself...) John Kelly at the end of GodsKitchen at Telewest in March- he played some quality trance and made me cry :D .

    So lets have some trance!!!!!!

One Eyed DJ, I disagree on the "repetitive music", however I do agree on John Kelly.

John Kelly often plays quite a bit of commercial, which doesn't always float my boat, but I had to hand it to him at Telewest, he really got the crowd going, which at the end of the day is a DJs job. He really finished off the night superbly I thought.

A bit of melodic is good in small doses, but I find it kind of awkward chilling out to Rank 1 and Ralphie B tunes in the house, and then going to a club and being expected to go mental to them. At the end of the night, the very end, it is appropriate, and in certain circumstances, for example if the crowd look tired, but it can be a pain in the arse being expected to rave to music you usually relaxe to. My mate folded his arms and just stood still during Matt Hardwick's set when he dropped Awakening and Massive. It was fuckin hilarious!
