if you want to play out get technics.

If you want dex which make the technics feel like the difference between a rolls and a ferrari, get vestax pdx's or the new stantons str8-150's.

If you want a cheaper mixer go for the vestax PCV series, don't aubuse the faders tho cos they cost a mint to replace. Or if you want the best get an A&H zone 6:2 / 9:2

    Hope this helps :D

You can get a Allen & Heath xone 32 for about £400 now- that's cheaper than the DJM600 and IMO has better sound quality and built in filters which are class to use.
I have sold my DJM600 and bought a Xone 62 and it's Pretty much the best mixer I've ever used. It sounds class and I'd guess the sound/build quality of a 32 is pretty similar- I've got a firend with one and he loves it.
Saying that, the DJM600 is a really good mixer wih quite good fx but it's about £200 more than the Xone32.

I have a pioneers DJM300 and EFX500 effector, the dogs bollocks. As eeeeeee said the A&H xtone is a better mixer and is cheaper. Sound advice either way, both good mixers. Take Jus's advice on the decks, but good carts with the money you save off not buying mk 5's

Not sure about mixer, but deffo just go for the mk2 technics. The mk5's just have minor aesthetic differences, and a pitch range of of +-16% which, in all honesty you're not going to need unless you're playing pop music like you would hard house! One of the only features on the mk5's which would give you any kind of advantage would be the dipless pitch slider, which is a piece of piss to work around on the mk2's anyway!
