Sorry I should Edit I was on about Shitrat5 being in the top 3, not Armin & Tietsto. I do like some of his productions & rated him when he broke onto the scene with 'Not Exactly' & 'Faxing Berlin' but he became very boring very quickly, I cant believe he's no3 this year, the poll is a bit of a kick in the balls for DJ's that acutally appreciate DJ'ing, his comments in his recent Interview kinda rubs salt into the wounds also.

bt's been in it for ten years and has never djed in his life.

all it does is show the stupidity and social tendencies of the 'internet clubbers' who vote...

    aye.
Deadmaus is fucking dreadful, he makes house music for trance fans.

From what ive heard he was terrible DJing at Shindig, for him to be at no 3 is a bit of a joke really.

to be honest though, rob tissera, trophy twins, the garlands crew and loads more have made a pretty good living out of that (and those are the exact words i used five years ago)...

come on, what did you expect?

the djmag poll has been a glorified popularity contest for years. Its not about which DJ is the best, it's about which DJ can get more of his hypnotized faithful to vote for him.

The only reason tiesto is up that far is because rory-space submitted 500,000 votes on his behalf.

As for the mau5, I agree with a fair few of the comments on here. I like a lot of his productions (apart from the tiny dancer style proggy shite), but his djing (albeit technical skill) leaves a lot to be desired.

His set at the dig was good once he got past all the proggy trance stuff at the start, the problem was that he repeated that set at every place he played in the UK. And it was all of his own tracks and nothing else. Same with his essential mix.

Don't get me wrong, he's done a lot of good stuff, but if I wanted to hear his tracks all night, I'd buy them off beatport.

In short - good producer, poor DJ.

i have for good few years now, well ever since the Global Catastophe and the realisation he's a massive prick who's so far up his arse, if he actually keeps going he'll come right back out his mouth.

there was a thread about it a while ago and it's re-kindled it all

i can't argue with armin at no.1, been amazin everytime i've seen him

does anyone know where james zabiela was in the 100? he should be right up there imo

had a good night at shindig when deadmau5 was on, bt it was just a productions set so can understand why ppl wouldn't like it

him bein no.3 is a joke though and as gary says it must be a bit of a kick in the bollocks for other dj's bt it is just a popularity poll at the end of the day, always will be
